APPLICATION FOR RENUNCIATION OF PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP

REQUIREMENTS

Submit the original and a clear photocopy of the following documents:

  1. Certificate of Naturalization OR Bekendmaking van verlening van het Nederlanderschap.
  2. Official English translation of the Certificate of Naturalization or the Bekendmaking van verlening van het Nederlanderschap.
    • A sworn translator must do the translation.
  3. Dutch passport
  4. Latest Philippine passport
  5. Letter from the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) with instruction to renounce Philippine citizenship (no need for English translation).
  6. Fee: €50.00 (preferably paid via PIN)

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Send scanned copies of the required documents by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for evaluation, using the subject “Renunciation” – complete name (last name, first name and middle name), for the Embassy’s evaluation. For example, Renunciation – SANTOS, Maria

    Kindly wait for our response; we have received numerous emails.

    • Preferably send the documents in one PDF file.
    • Further instructions will be provided after the documents have been reviewed.

  2. Schedule an appointment.
    Once the documents have been evaluated, you will be provided with a link to schedule an appointment.
  3. Personal appearance is required.
  4. Pay the applicable fee of €50.

Important Notes

  • Personal appearance is required.
  • Bring all the original documents submitted for evaluation.
  • Bring and submit two (2) sets of photocopies for all the required documents
  • The Embassy may request additional documents if necessary.
  • The original translated Bekendmaking will be retained by the Embassy.
  • Payment of applicable fees preferably via PIN
